Accountablility
As we go through the current "crises", I cannot help worrying that no one is accountable for their actions...so many people bought homes they could not pay for, and are now not being held accountable. We read where a lady in the "Projects" in Tampa, single with no kids at home, refuses to move out of her four bedroom public housing unit. And my taxes are paying most of the cost of the housing unit. Fathers sire children, and want custody to "possess" child, but do not pay child support. Many people who actively engage in recreational activities, like camping, fishing, and growing pot are drawing Social Security Disability. And we worry about the SS trust. And felons are licensed mortgage brokers, and no one is responsible for their repeat offenses. Companies write mortgages to people who cannot possibly pay them back, then sell the mortgages with impunity and now the government is now gonna pay them back. People build on flood plains, knowingly, and demand that FEMA cover their losses. Why are people and companies no longer held in any way accountable for their actions? This seems a recipe for cultutal disaster!

I'm Starting a Blog
Well, I know nothing about blogging, but my Grandaughter started one as she started peace corps in Africa, so I guess, at 77 years of age, I can start something new.
I don't know why I could start a blog, but I feel so strongly on some issues.
For example, family. One of God's gift to us is family, the joy of cherishing children, of being responsible for them, of sharing marriage with each other to benefit children. My wife and I are so proud of our three, they are so smart, so caring, so literate. We lost our oldest to brain cancer while she was in her thirties, but she was such a gift, such a joy, such a caring daughter, wife, friend. We thank God so much for lending her to us to show us so much. Our second daughter is doing well, and has raised a wonderful family, has a terrific husband...a wonderful gift. Our youngest, a son has also a terrific family, shows such care and love for others and his faith. So our family is our heart, and we have found joy in the responsibility. Future blogs will show other wonderful facets of our long lives. Thank, Old Timer Tom, James Sawyer
